Dear Potential Staff Member,

Thank you for your interest in The Gathering Place. We are an innovative Christian child care center that stretches the children’s hearts as well as their minds. It is our desire that all children experience God’s love and grows in understanding that they are unique and special in God’s eyes.

Our staff members must be reliable, nurturing and committed to caring for young children. Your position is viewed as a ministry that transforms the lives of our children and families through the love of Jesus Christ.

All prospective employees of The Gathering Place® must agree to a criminal records check which includes a fingerprint analysis, a reference check and a signed child abuse conviction statement. Also each employee must show proof of Ohio residency for five years. All employees must possess a high school diploma or GED and complete 15 hours of inservice training per year, until a total of 45 hours have been completed.

If you have earned a bachelors degree in ECE then you are exempted from the 45 hours of inservice training; however, you are required to complete the 18 mandatory hours in the areas of communicable disease, first aid and CPR, and child abuse recognition. To maintain The Gathering Place® standard of excellence, all employees are required to have 15 hours of training per year. This contributes to our staff members being among the best in the market.

Providing consistent care for our children is a top priority, so we strive for low staff turnover. Working with children is not for everyone, so please seriously consider your employment needs before applying.
